(<em>Marco had read the newspaper.<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Ricordi quando <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">eravamo andati<\/span> in vacanza a toscana? (<em>Do you remember when we went to Tuscany on holiday?<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Prima di venire in Italia <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">avevi<\/span> gi\u00e0 <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">studiato<\/span> l&#8217;italiano? (<em>Had you already studied Italian before you came to Italy?<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Luigi e Simona <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">avevano<\/span> gi\u00e0 <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">visto<\/span> il film. (<em>Luigi and Simona had already seen the film.<\/em>)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Ti <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">avevo detto<\/span> di fare i compiti!
