We are not talking about definite facts.<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Spero che il treno\u00a0<span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">parta<\/span> in orario.<br \/>\n(I hope the trains leaves on time.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Non mi piace che mi\u00a0<span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">raccontino<\/span> bugie.<br \/>\n(I don&#8217;t like the fact that they\u00a0lie\u00a0to me.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is generally used in the second part of a sentence, often after &#8220;che&#8221;.<br \/>\nOccasionally it is used in the principle part of a sentence.<\/p>\n<p>Examples:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">Siate<\/span> gentili!<br \/>\n(Be\u00a0kind!)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote><p>Prego, mi <span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">dica<\/span>\u2026<br \/>\n(Go ahead, tell me.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It is formed by adding various endings to the root of the verb.<br \/>\nThe\u00a0<strong>present subjunctive form<\/strong>\u00a0of regular verbs and some common irregular verbs:<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; We can often omit <strong>&#8220;che&#8221;<\/strong> when we use the subjunctive form.
