The correct form is per cui, detached.
The form percui, all attached, is wrong.
The expression per cui is composed of the simple preposition “per” and the relative pronoun “cui”.
Per cui has two different meanings.
In colloquial Italian, the expression per cui is used as a conjunctive locution with deductive or conclusive value in reference to what was previously stated. In this case “cui” takes on the value of that and the expression is used with the meaning of “e perciò” (therefore), “e per questo motivo” (and for this reason).
Gli insegnanti hanno scioperato per cui non sono andato a scuola.
Stamattina c’era molto traffico per cui sono arrivato in ritardo a lavoro.
Ha iniziato a piovere all’improvviso per cui abbiamo cercato un posto dove ripararci.
In these cases, the expression per cui can be replaced by the expressions ”motivo per cui”, “ragione per cui”,etc.
In other cases, cui works as a relative pronoun in indirect complements and as the only form for masculine/feminine gender and singular/plural number. In this case, cui is used to refer to a previously named person, animal or thing and cannot be replaced by che.
La persona per cui lavoro è molto gentile e disponibile.
Il gatto per cui sono andato dal veterinario è di Maria.
La ragione per cui ti ho contattata è perché ho bisogno del tuo aiuto.
